    KO Client Seasats Raises Strategic Investment from L3Harris Technologies

     

    KO client Seasats, a maritime startup, recently announced that it has accepted a strategic investment from L3Harris Technologies, a global aerospace and defense technology innovator.

    With the investment, Seasat’s autonomous ocean vehicles will partner with L3Harris products to create innovative maritime solutions for customers in the commercial and defense sectors.

    In the press release, Seasats CEO Mike Flanigan says, ““When you take the network and organizational expertise that L3Harris has, and then add our unique platforms and fast-moving startup culture to the mix, you end up with really formidable capabilities. The timing, too, couldn’t be better. Maritime autonomy has been maturing for a decade and rapid growth in offshore wind and aquaculture combine with a renewed push by the Navy to make a perfect springboard for scaling.”

    KO Client Fermyon Raises $20 Million Series A Round see more

    KO client Fermyon recently announced that it has raised $20 million in Series A funding. Fermyon is pioneering the next wave of cloud computing with the first cloud-native WebAssembly platform as a service (PaaS) that lets developers build better microservices faster.

    The funding will be used to productize Fermyon and to continue to invest in serving the developer community. Insight Partners led the round with participation from previous investors Amplify Partners, Tyler McMullen (CTO of Fastly), Grant Miller (CEO of Replicated) and Marc Campbell (CTO at Replicated) and new investors.

    In the press release, Michael Yamnitsky, Managing Director at Insight Partners, says, “Like Docker did years ago with containers, we believe Fermyon will radically simplify software delivery with WebAssembly. We couldn’t be more excited to partner with them as they pioneer the next wave of cloud computing.”
